- A short conversation. I will call you back within two business days to establish whether this practice is the right fit, confirm which state you will be physically located in for appointments, and give you the fee in writing.
- Records and intake. If we proceed, you will receive secure portal access for intake forms and for uploading prior records, medication lists, and recent laboratory results.
- First appointment. 120 minutes, by video or in person.
Which state you are in matters
Psychiatric care by telehealth is governed by the state where you are physically located during the appointment, not where you live. Because I hold licences in New Jersey, New York and Connecticut, appointments can take place from home, from a Manhattan office, or from anywhere else in those three states. I cannot see you while you are physically located in a state where I am not licensed, including on holiday. Tell me in advance if that is likely.
